Ottawa, 13 March 2023—On Monday 27 March 2023, the Auditor General of Canada, Karen Hogan, will deliver 4 performance audit reports to the House of Commons. Tabling is expected at approximately 11:00 am (Eastern daylight timeEDT). Descriptions of the reports are provided below.

The 2023 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada included in this release are:
Report 1—Accessible Transportation for Persons With Disabilities. This audit focused on whether VIA Rail, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, and the Canadian Transportation Agency identified and removed existing barriers and worked toward preventing transportation barriers for persons with disabilities.
Report 2—Connectivity in Rural and Remote Areas. This audit focused on whether Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission have improved the accessibility, affordability, and quality of high-speed Internet and mobile cellular connectivity for Canadians in rural and remote areas.
Report 3—Rehabilitation of Parliament’s Centre Block—Public Services and Procurement Canada. This audit focused on whether Public Services and Procurement Canada effectively managed the cost, schedule, and scope of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program while balancing the requirements of Parliament, the heritage character of the building, sustainability, and equitable access for parliamentarians and the public. It also examined whether the department, in cooperation with key partners and stakeholders, put in place a governance framework to support timely decisions for the Centre Block Rehabilitation Program.
Report 4—International Assistance in Support of Gender Equality—Global Affairs Canada. This audit focused on whether Global Affairs Canada implemented the Feminist International Assistance Policy by funding projects that supported gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in low- and middle-income countries, and by demonstrating that the projects were generating expected outcomes.
