Media Advisory—Tabling of the Report of the Auditor General of Canada on Early Childhood to Grade 12 Education in the Northwest Territories—Thursday, 6 February 2020
Ottawa, 21 January 2020—The Office of the Auditor General of Canada will present its Report on Early Childhood to Grade 12 Education in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly on Thursday, 6 February 2020.
Tabling Day Schedule

Opportunity for media to review the report in advance of tabling in the Assembly. Auditors will be present to answer questions from journalists. Journalists will be required to remain in the Media Room until the report has been tabled.
Tabling of the Report
Approximately 3 p.m. Mountain Time
The Report is tabled by the Speaker in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly and made available on the Office of the Auditor General of Canada website.
News Conference
Approximately 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mountain Time (once the report is public)
Principal Glenn Wheeler will hold a news conference in the Legislative Assembly Media Room.
Mr. Wheeler will be available for media interviews following the press conference.
The Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG) can provide journalists outside of Yellowknife (Northwest TerritoriesNWT) with access to an embargoed copy of the report prior to its tabling in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly, under the following conditions:
- Journalists wishing to access an embargoed copy of the report must confirm their arrangements with Media Relations by Wednesday 29 January 2020, no later than 2 p.m. (eastern timeET).
- Journalists must travel at their own expense to an OAG office of their choice (Ottawa, Halifax, Montreal, Edmonton or Vancouver) to access the report under embargo.
- Journalists will be required to sign a confidentiality undertaking and remain in the OAG offices until the report has been tabled in the Legislative Assembly.
